Allie Awards Entry Process

Frequently Asked Questions

1.         Who can enter?

Entrants must meet at least ONE of the following criteria:

a.     Entrant's company is located in metro Atlanta

b.     Entrant's event was held in metro Atlanta

c.     Entrant’s company holds membership in an Atlanta Chapter hospitality association or organization

The Best Team Effort categories are open to any group of companies or individuals who formed a core event team. The team must include at least (4) four members who meet the eligibility requirements. Inclusion in the event production does not oblige team members to participate in the competition.

Each team member that wishes to participate (and be eligible to receive an Allie should their entry win) must provide a Statement of Responsibility (100 words) and Entry Fee ($90.00 on-time, $120.00 late) to the Team Leader.  The Team Leader is responsible for collecting both the Statement of Responsibility AND Entry Fees from all participating members, entering the submission through the OmniContest Website, uploading each member’s Statement of Responsibility, and providing payment for the entire team fee.

2.         Are there any fees associated with my entry into the 2014 Allies?

Early Bird entries received during the on-time entry window will make a payment fee of $90.00

Late entries received during the extended entry window will make a payment fee of $120.00

*Your fee is determined by the actual date of submission/payment, NOT the date on which you began your entry.

3.         How do I pay for my entry?

Credit Card payment will be expected at the conclusion of the online entry process.

4.         Once I start my entry process is there a “Save” button so that I can come back to it later?

Yes.

5.         How do I know if my entry was received?

You will receive confirmation emails both when you have fully completed the entry submission and again after you have processed payment. If you receive a “Contest Entry Submission Confirmation” email, you have only submitted but not PAID for your entry.  Your entry is not considered complete until payment is entered and you have received a “Contest Payment Confirmation Email.”

6.         What are the Allie entry deadlines?

ON-time entry deadline  – February 13, 2015

LATE entry window is February 14, 2015 – February 20, 2015 at MIDNIGHT

7.         Are binders and CD’s still accepted as an entry?

No. The Allie Awards now offers a fully green entry process.  All entries should be submitted at https://www.omnicontests4.com/?comp_id=allieawards

8.         Can two people/companies enter a category together?

No. Entrants may decide how they wish their name to appear on their trophy, should they win.  If appropriate, this may be “ABC Company & XYZ Company,” though please note that character limits may apply.

Four or more companies collaborating on an event are eligible to enter Best Team Effort.

9.         I’m not currently an NACE or ISES member, can I still enter?

YES!  To enter your company must meet ONE of the following categories:

a.     Entrant's company is located in metro Atlanta

b.     Entrant's event was held in metro Atlanta

c.     Entrant’s company holds membership in an Atlanta Chapter hospitality association or organization

10.      When do late fees start and how much is it?

Late entries are from February 14, 2015 – February 20, 2015, midnight.  The late fee is $120 per late entry and applies to all entries PAID after February 14th, even if they were started and saved before the late-entry deadline.

11.      Will I receive a separate email confirmation after paying for my online entry?

Yes, actually three emails will be generated.  The first is your "Allie Awards Entrant Registration" with reminders of your user name and password.  The next email will arrive when your payment is entered and you have received a “Contest Payment Confirmation Email.”  The third and final email will be generated when you have clicked the SUBMIT button, and the "Contest Entry Submission Confirmation" arrives in your inbox.

12.    Can Best Team Effort “team members/vendors” upload their statement of responsibility and pay for their entry “BEFORE” the original entrant uploads and pays for their entry?

No.  The Team Leader for each Best Team Effort submission is responsible for collecting Statements of Responsibility (100 words total) and payment ($90.00 early entry, $120.00 late entry) from each participating Team Member by their own means.  The Team Leader will then be the sole entrant responsible for uploading all Statements of Responsibility and submitting the entire entry fee for all participating members.

13.      When writing my entry, are spaces counted in the character counts?

Yes.  The character count includes letters, numbers, spaces, and punctuation.  Each character count limit is noted above each entry form.

14.      If I want to attend the 2015 Allies, how do I register?
